We saw two thrilling encounters on Day 2 which went down the wire and we expect much of the same on Day 3 of the Ultimate Kho Kho League (UKK). Tuesday will witness Telugu Yoddhas and Rajasthan Warriors clashing swords in the first game, followed by Gujarat Giants and Odisha Juggernauts engaging in a West meets East encounter at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge, Pune.
Let’s have a look at what all to expect on the third matchday of UKK.
Match 5: Telugu Yoddhas vs Rajasthan Warriors
Telugu Yoddhas came up with an all-round performance in their first game over the Chennai Quick Guns. Arun Gunki and Deepak Madhav were the key contributors for the Yoddhas in their win. Arun was the pick of the Attackers for them, as he managed to score 10 points in the game, while Deepak stayed on the mat for a total of 1 minute and 59 seconds in his debut UKK game. The Yoddhas would expect these two players to deliver once again in this roaring contest.
Rajasthan Warriors had a forgettable outing in their first game. They would look to pull up their sleeves and add points to their tally. Majahar Jamadar will be the player to watch out for in their side. The Attacker scored 9 points in his first game. Warriors would be hoping their away captain continues his form in the upcoming match.
Match 6: Gujarat Giants vs Odisha Juggernauts
Gujarat Giants registered a massive 25-point win over Mumbai Khiladis in their first game of the season. Ranjan Shetty, the leader of the pack, will be hoping to enhance their Attacking game when he faces the well-rounded Odisha squad on the mat. Ankit Pote was their best Defender in the previous game and managed to stay on the mat for a massive 2 minutes and 47 seconds.
Odisha Juggernauts also showed their class in their maiden game, where they faced Chennai Quick Guns. Mahesha P and Dilip Khandavi were their best Attacker and Defender, respectively, and a lot will be resting on their form when they meet the Giants of Gujarat. A win is sure to give the Eastern unit a boost for the season ahead.
