Avik is a 21-year-old Kho Kho player from Hubli, West Bengal. He will perform the all round
duties for Mumbai Khiladis.
He was 12 years old when he started playing Kho Kho. His favourite memory is the time whe he
played the Khelo India Games. He has participated in the Senior National thrice, Junior National
twice and once in Khelo India Games.
His father is a labour and his mother is a housewife. His sister was a National level Kho Kho
player, he saw her play and got inspired. His family was very supportive. He used to train in
athletics (100m) and represented at district level too. He saw his sister playing Kho Kho once
and then he was glued to the game as it has running, catching other players, and involved
intelligence. His aim is to develop the game and make it famous in his hometown. He aims to
play good so that next time when people see him, they will know how good the sport is.

He loves playing team sport and Kho Kho was his first preference. He has completed his HSC.
He likes travelling and MS Dhoni is his favourite sportsperson.
