Deepak is a 27-year-old Kho Kho player who has also been an active member of the Railways
Kho Kho team. He is roped in by Telugu Yoddhas to perform the defensive duties for the team.
He started playing Kho Kho in his school when he was in 5th grade. His favourite Kho Kho
related memory is the time when he got selected for Railways and also got an opportunity to
represent the Indian Kho Kho team. He is a Silver Medalist in the 52nd Senior National, Gold
Medalist in the 53rd Senior National and a Gold Medalist for India in the 13th South Asian
Games.
His parents have retired and his siblings are currently working. He was always interested in
sports. He stated that he belongs to a middle-class family and this sport requires low financial
maintenance because of which he took Kho Kho over other sports. He has completed his

graduation. His goal is to perform well and win the tournament for his team. He likes to play
football and instruments, especially drums. His favourite sportsperson is M.S. Dhoni.
