Gavara Venkatesh is a 20-year-old Kho Kho fanatic who hails from Andhra Pradesh. In the first
edition of the Ultimate Kho Kho, he is going to play for Telugu Yoddhas as an Attacker. Gavara is
one of the 143 players who were drafted during the Players Draft for the inaugural season.
Gavara started his Kho Kho journey when he was just 10 years old. He started playing Kho Kho
in 2012 and later continued his newfound passion for the sport by playing the game at the
school level. After seeing his game and abilities, senior players and his coaches encouraged him
to take up the game more seriously. As he started progressing in the game, he represented
Andhra Pradesh in the Junior National Kho Kho Championship. He was also a part of the team
that won a bronze medal in the Junior Nationals.
Gavara's family is into farming. His brother is also a Kho Kho player who got selected in the
Indian Navy. Apart from Kho Kho, Gavara prefers to pass his time by watching movies or
reading books. His favourite sportsperson is Sachin Tendulkar who inspires him to be the best in
the business.
