Rahul is a 23-year-old Kho Kho player who hails from Velapur, Maharashtra. He was picked by
Mumbai Khiladis in the auction.
He started playing Kho Kho when he was 13 years old. His favourite memory of the sport is the
time when he got selected for the National Championship and his coach Somnath Bansode
lifted him on his shoulders and started dancing with all players and villagers. He was a part of
the Maharashtra Kho Kho team. He was a Silver Medalist in the 54th Senior National Kho Kho
Championship.

He comes from a farming family. He preferred Kho Kho over other sports because in his village
it is a very famous sport as it is a hub for Kho Kho. He started loving the sport in the initial
stages of his life. He has cleared BSc Agriculture from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri.
He helps his father in farming but also focuses on his studies at the same time. He is also
planning to appear for competitive exams. He wants to win the league for his side. Apart from
Kho Kho, he also likes to play football and listen to music. Virat Kohli is his favourite sports
player.
